(From my old blog)
Okay, so I was planning on putting this as a Music Monday, but I can't find a music video to go with it. So I'll just post it as music. :) Heard it while watching the last few episodes of Ugly Betty (yes, I know, I'm kinda late with that), I was so glad to tell Marcus that I'd finished it though. He'd been wanting me too, and I couldn't really blame him since I only had like 5 episodes left. Anyway, here's the song, hope you enjoy.

San Francisco - Part 4 - Sunday Oct. 17th
(From my old blog)
So Sunday, Marcus and his sister got up early since they were doing the marathon that day. I woke up for a little while with everyone moving around, but then fell back asleep. Then woke up later to meet with them at Union Square. I'd gotten a coffee and chocolate chunk brownie since it was so cold and was gonna give it to Marcus but their shuttle from the finish line back to Union Square took so long the coffee and brownie got cold and I got hungry...and, yeah...still got him something though. Took him to Del Taco, turns out he loves it. Did not know that. (He told me later that they don't have a Del Taco in Texas either, don't know what's up with that) But afterward we all just went back to the hotel and pretty much spent the rest of the day there because it was so cold. Like seriously, it was cold, it was cloudy, and windy and raining. I was scared I would get a cold just standing there waiting for them to get back. But I did get to finally see a statue person in person.
But yeah, we hid inside the rest of the day. Well, until I had to walk back to the subway. When it was still cold. But we rushed and I got to the airport on time. Just to find out my plane was delayed 2 hours. So I had to wait at the airport for 2 hours after running to get to the airport on time. Yeah, kinda bad. But I still had a really good trip, even though I was up till 2 in the morning the next day because of the flight.
Yup, definitly worth it.

San Francisco - Part 3 - Sat Oct 16th
(From my old blog)
So we ended up going to breakfast at this place called Mama's. It wasn't that great. It wasn't bad either, it just had this 2 hour line and the food wasn't really worth the wait. If there hadn't been a line, I would have said it was great, but well, the longer I wait, the better I expect the food to be.
But this wait did let Marcus and I wander around San Francisco a bit. We ended up walking to the pier and being able to see Alcatraz. It was pretty cool. Even though it was so cold and cloudy. There was fog out over the ocean. It was weird for me since in Tucson, we like never get fog. The last time we did was like four years or more ago.
But afterward we tried to walk to the Golden Gate Bridge. That so did not work. We ended up cutting though the city and actually seeing how far the walk was, so we just walked to the pier. Turned out we had walked very far. But we found the touristy area of San Francisco. There was In-N-Out (which they don't have in Texas according to Marcus) and Denny's and this awesome sushi place where we ate at (I don't remember the name) and I had good sushi for the first time. I also had Mochi for the first time. It was awesome. Later on, my friend Chris told me that Mochi is really anything covered in rice patty, so I had the ice cream Mochi. Strawberry and Mango. Strawberry was better, but both were awesome. I'm so gonna get more next time I have a chance.
After that, we got lost a little, but Marcus had his iPhone so we had a map at least. Found this cute toy shop called DoublePunch and Marcus got me this milk carton thing that had the word Leche on it, I loved it. (Have it as my photo at the time of this post)

I f*ing love this.
After that we went back to the hotel because our legs were killing us. Then we (Marcus, his sister, her friends, and I) all piled into the car and went to this super expensive Italian restraunt which wasn't all that great. Well, at least for the price. I felt so underdressed there also. It was awkward...
But after that we got to go back to the hotel and just rest for the next day.

San Francisco - Part 2 - Friday Oct. 15
(From my old blog)
So I met Marcus and his sister at the airport. We took the subway, called the Bart, and it was my first time on a subway, even though this one started out above ground, by the time we got to the city, we were underground.

My first time on the subway.
After that we walked to the hotel, which was way fancier than any I've ever been in. After that we walked to Union Square and had dinner in the Macy's at The Burger Bar. It was pretty good food, but there was a healthy tax on the bill. This confused all of us and the waitress said that some restraunts add that for healthcare in San Francisco or something. I'm pretty sure we had to leave less of a tip (which I always feel bad about) since the healthy tax was another 4% added to the regular state tax. After that it was already pretty late and everyone was tired, so we just went back to the hotel for the night.

San Francisco - Part 1
(From my old blog)
Okay, so school is still trying to kill me with two tests on one day, so this will be short. I'll do the rest as soon as I have time.
Friday Oct. 10-Getting There
I got to see the B side of the Tucson airport. I'd only ever been to the A side, so this was exciting for me, until I got there. It was longer than the A side, and yet had less stuff than the A side. And there was no burger place! I was there around lunch and couldn't buy any fries. I was pretty sad. But I got a poptart and soda, and left it at that.
I had a transfer in Phoenix, so I had like a 45 min flight. And man was that flight empty. It was only like 2/3 full. Something I have never seen before. Every flight I've been on has always been full, like completely full, so this surprised me. I guess not many people decide to fly when it's just a 2 hr drive, but for those of us without cars, the plane is needed.
Spent a little time in the Phoenix airport. Just an hour. That place had fries luckly, I was getting hungry and they only give you soda for free on the flights. But other than that there was nothing really to look at there. Ended up just sitting waiting for my flight. Had to sit on the ground because all the chairs near my gate were full, and it was so loud, I wanted to be near my gate.
The flight to San Francisco was okay. I had a middle seat, so that wasn't great. Didn't get to take any pictures with my camera (pictures will be posted with the posts about being in San Francisco later) So I read most of the time. That's the one thing about being on a plane I like, being able to just tune everything out for a while. It's nice. The really cool thing that I didn't know about was that when you're landing, it looks like you're gonna land in the water, and then at the last minute you see the ground pop up and no water landing. That was pretty fun (would've taken pictures if that guy wasn't in the way). But anyway, got to San Francisco okay, and met Marcus and his sister at the airport. Then actually got to see the city.

Holy Day
(From my old blog)
Happy Birthday Marcus! Don't worry I won't mention that this is your 2-ack! Cough, sputter, wheeze, die....
And now the secret of how old he is stays a secret....
But in other news, did you know today is a holy day? It's because 10/10/10 is a repeating number, and according to some religion people, repeating numbers are holy. Kinda makes me wonder about Lost....

First Post!
(From my first blog)
Hi everyone! So I decided to start a blog. Not sure how it'll go, but I'm gonna try. I like to link to a lot of stuff, and I'm pretty sure my friends are getting annoyed by it, lol. So here's a place I can link to without bugging anyone who doesn't want to see it. Hope you people in the internet like it.
